Steel-grid resistors | T600

Steel-grid resistors are made of single steel-grid elements of series S. Steel-grid elements are combined to resistor blocks (series FE and FK..). Resistor blocks again are assembled to steel-grid units which are available in different degrees of protection and mounting methods.

Properties

  • very favourable price-performance-ratio at high quality
  • selection of 30 different steel-grid elements from 0,022 to 5,6 Ω
  • high ampacity up to 122 A per steel-grid fixed resistor, may be enlarged by switching in parallel
  • smaller dependence of the resistance on temperature than cast iron resistors due to lower temperature coefficient
  • overload resistant at short-time load thanks to high heat capacity
  • very robust construction and therefore insensitive to vibrations
  • enclosures made from hot galvanised sheet steel
  • various degrees of protection and mounting methods (all series besides S and FE)

  • temperature switch for temperature monitoring
  • thermal overload relay for high operating security (serialized with series FGFT)
  • intrinsically safe design: auto-switch-off through FRIZLEN DC-Powerswitch (type series FGFX)
  •  UL-recognition for American and Canadian market (E212934) on request for all marked series available
